Polyvore Style-Off

I think I have found my new best friend. Her name is Polyvore, and she is – hands down – my new obsession! 🙂

Polyvore is the newest way to discover and shop for all things beautiful; including fashion, beauty and home décor. It simplifies online shopping by bringing together a wide range of stores and items in one convenient place. Then, based on personal preferences, it curates it all into a personalized boutique just for you, making it even easier to discover and shop for looks and items you love.

At the moment, it houses international stores and items only – although prices are quoted in Rands, and if you are willing to endure the customs duty most stores will ship to SA.

What I love most about this site, and most recently the app, is that you can create ‘sets’ and ‘collections’ under your profile using the wide data base of items. They have also made it extremely user friendly that it becomes so simple to create a stylish, professional ‘magazine style’ layout of your favourite pieces.

Going forward, Sam and I are going to be participating in a monthly ‘style-off’ where we each style a different look based on a general theme for that month. You, as our readers, can then vote for your favourite.

The colour for the month of March has been labeled grey by the Plascon team, and so we thought we would follow a grey theme for each of our looks.

Both looks above are quite relaxed, casual and chic and while both create a similar feeling, some very different pieces were used. More info on the items can be found on our Polyvore profile.
