Arguably the biggest night in Hollywood – the 87th Academy Awards – took place this morning (our time) in a rainy Los Angeles.
The Oscars turn us all into film critics, predictors and fashion police on the night; we at Spruce are no different! While we have yet to watch some of the big films that won on the night, we were definitely watching the fashion of the red carpet for the winners!
While the usual suspects – notably Cate Blanchett (this woman can do no wrong!) – wowed us, we loved seeing the risk takers gracing the carpet. Emma Stone looked radiant in an unusual colour gown by Elie Saab, Marion Couiltard brought a voluminous silhouette onto the carpet in Christian Dior Couture, while Naomi Watts rocked an embellished black and silver cut Armani Prive gown.
We have put together our selection of the best looks of the evening – hotly debating our favourite of the night. Interestingly enough both gowns are from Saint Laurent – Dakota Johnson (Ilaria) and Margot Robbie (Sam).
