Too often, when we need to find an item to add to our wardrobe, our first port of call would be to hit the big retailers. As much as we appreciate the selection they have to offer (almost our entire wardrobes are made up of items from these stores) it is SO refreshing when you come across a store that focuses only on local, South African designers offering bespoke, good quality, high value items (without breaking the entire bank).
Our delightful new find this week is Convoy, situated at the Bamboo Centre in Melville, Johannesburg. We are super excited that this is a Jozi based store; Cape Town, as much as we love you, you are certainly far too spoilt with gems like these and we tire of only having access to beautiful local pieces via pop-up design fairs 😉
Convoy is a collaboration between six South African designers, each bringing fresh and unique elements which make up the most beautiful shop space; its airy, light, inviting and exudes a sense of calmness which makes the experience of being in the store so great.

Lesley Whitter, Heart and Heritage’s designer and the driving energy behind the Convoy store, is a force to be reckoned with. She is passionate, down-to-earth, talented and ensures the store stays genuine and authentic.
