This is for all you beautiful Johannesburg inhabitants…we have found an amazing addition to the city’s nail and spa scene; YouBar in the heart of Illovo.
YouBar had been on our radar for a while – those countless drives up and down Corlett Drive often had us wondering what the intriguing and tastefully decorated new space was all about. So this past Saturday, we decided it was time for a treat and we made our way to the salon for a mani/pedi morning.
Overall, we were both really impressed! The look and feel of the space is stunning; they have cleverly designed it so it doesn’t feel crowded or ‘nooky’, all while offering 5 foot stations as well as 4 hand stations!
We love the hints of black, copper, wood and glass throughout the store, we LOVE that they offer Shellac and Vinylux and most of all, we were super impressed at the service; the ladies who performed our treatments were friendly, professional and were excellent at their job.
Ilaria chose a deep navy Shellac colour – indigo frock, while Sam went for a delicate nude – neglige.
Would we visit again? Yes, most definitely!
Their service list is extensive, their prices are reasonable and the overall feel of the salon is relaxing and calming – just as it should be! They offer some beautiful gifting ideas and assorted teas too, and have a loyalty rewards system – there really isn’t anything negative that we can point out. Oh, and there is always free parking on offer.
You Bar is open 7 days a week; weekdays until 7pm (everyone deserves an after work treat)!
