With Valentine’s Day falling on a Saturday this year, (it’s next Saturday – in case you have not noticed the heart-shaped chocolates flooding supermarket aisles yet) we can imagine that some romantic plans are under way. Whether you are the one planning the evenings’ affairs, or your significant other spoiling you, our three showcased “Look Books” should have you covered to ensure you look wonderfully stylish, whatever the occasion.
In creating each of these inspirational looks we wanted to incorporate either a red or pink hue as a nod to the colours of the day, so without further ado we present our Valentine’s Day Look Book for 2015:
Look 1
February is the height of summer in sunny SA, meaning a picnic is likely to be a popular choice for V-Day. We chose a sizzling coral red maxi dress as the focal point for the look, paired with a striking blue neck piece and neutral accessories. The loose fitting dress will ensure one remains cool during the day, while a cardigan can be slipped over the shoulders as the day fades into the evening breeze.
Look 2
If you happen to be dining out next Saturday, a graphic-print jump suit and heels (always a favourite here at Spruce) is a sophisticated, elegant yet edgy look. To brighten up the outfit for the “Day of Love”, we added a bright fuchsia statement clutch and lipstick and rounded off the look with a structured cuff with longer tassels. Without trying too hard, the look is striking, trendy and chic!
Look 3
If you are celebrating Valentine’s by cooking a gourmet dinner at home (or eating one -lucky you!) this look will help you remain comfortable by pairing lighter denims with these beautiful coral flats. Finished with a stylish open printed kimono and some rose-gold accessories, our ‘relaxed chic’ look book is probably our favourite choice of the three 🙂
Whatever your plans turn out to be next Saturday, we hope you feel inspired to take your look up a (proverbial) “notch”. We would love to know if you have any exciting plans, and which of the three looks is your favourite?
