When I am browsing the shops, it is very rare for me to NOT walk into a furniture or home décor store. I luuurve nice things for the home and I love it even more when there are such stunning trends to incorporate into our abodes.

The specific décor trend that has particularly caught my eye is one in which the emphasis is placed on using natural, rough materials in close relationships with luxurious metallics. Think marble, wood, copper, gold and leather – all things that exude a very luxe feel.

The key is to utilize these statement materials in an understated way to ensure timeless yet modern elegance that is not too ornate or over the top.

The ‘natural luxe’ trend embraces and strongly showcases opposing qualities such as natural timbers or stone combined with the subtle glamour of metallic finishes. It also contrasts cool neutral tones like black, white and grey against the warm tones of the golds and coppers.

To give you an idea, I have pulled some images where these trends are incorporated particularly well into various spaces:-

@Home is one place that I feel has done really well in making these trends accessible to us. I am subscribed to their newsletters so I have noticed that over time, they have started to incorporate these luxe styles into their product range and it is so good to see!

I actually stumbled on some gorgeous gold trays that have been on my décor wish list for a while – they definitely add a touch of glam to my bedroom.

Here are some of my favourite items from @home that showcase this beautiful ‘natural luxe’ trend.

Clockwise from top left:-

Copper Pendant, R999; Chesterfield Sofa, R32 999; Marble Serving Board, R499; Copper and Marble Side Table, R2699; Copper Wire Basket, R799; Striped Cake Plate, R269; Gold Vase, R449; Cross Side Table, R2299

The greatest thing about this trend is the ability to make a statement in both dramatic doses as well as subtle hints.

Have a wonderful weekend and happy browsing!
